About The Writer
Andrew Curtis is a writer and composer with a long background in performance, having worked in both amateur and professional settings since childhood. That experience shapes his writing at every level: an understanding of what actors enjoy performing, what musicians can play comfortably, and what directors need in the rehearsal room.
Although Andrew came to writing later, he has always been drawn to community theatre — its creativity, camaraderie, and collaborative spirit. His work is written with those companies in mind, offering ensemble-driven storytelling, strong roles across age ranges, and material that is satisfying to rehearse and rewarding to perform.
His first two musicals, Thwack! and The Resurrectionists, are very different in tone but share a commitment to character, atmosphere, and clear theatrical storytelling.
